Assembling the Right hand side of the HS

12/08/2007 - My second all day session of assembly

When I finished yesterday I went upstairs and read a bit about what other builders had done; this is when I realised I had not made sure of edge clearance when drilling yesterday.  I believed I had trashed it all and had a bad nights sleep.

I was in the garage at 8am this morning, and I dismantle the parts to measure the clearance as it happens I have been extremely lucky and I have got away with it.  Phew.

I modify the jig so that it will hold the empennage upright without another set of hands and I set work on the right hand side in just the same way as the left hand side the day before.

And by just after lunch time it was fully assembled for the first time.  After that it was off to Mom's and Bob's to discuss priming, as I am utterly confused from all the arguments I have read on the net so I need some advice from a painter.
